| Week 26 Chalkboard |
What a wonderful weekend and special day to start out week 26! Yesterday I spent the morning with my mom celebrating Mother's Day. We walked a 5K with our fur-baby children, Lil Man and Sasha. See Spot Run is a dog friendly walk/run that supports The Rutherford County Habitat for Humanity held at my alma mater MTSU in Murfreesboro.

I had a lot of fun watching Sasha interact with all the other dogs (see below).
The weather was AMAZING plus it was really cool to see how much MTSU has changed since I graduated 4 years ago. The fur baby children were tired after their workouts!

Afterwards my mom and I met Brandy for brunch at one of my favorites MiMi's Cafe. Glad me and my sister could have time with our mom together this weekend. Then later in the afternoon I got to join in the fun of celebrating my sister-in-law and fellow mom-to-be at a baby shower for her and Baby Ethan (Baby E's cousin due about 9 weeks ahead of him). We can't wait to meet him!!

Weekly Update
How far along? 26 weeks - less than 100 days til Baby E makes his arrival!!
Baby E’s Size: Eggplant (9.2 in. and 2 lb)
Gender: B-O-Y!
Maternity clothes? Dresses are the most comfortable offering plenty of extra room! The couple pairs of maternity pants I have are pretty comfortable too but a sun dress is my go-to choice.
Weight gain: I'll get my official doctor's report tomorrow - at home it looks like I'm teetering between 17-18 lbs.
Sleep: After a busy weekend my body and Baby E are looking forward to an early bedtime tonight!
Best moment this week: Dennis surprised me with the most thoughtful, perfect Mother's Day gift this morning. He knew I needed wanted a new travel bag that would work for short trips when I don't need a suitcase. I primarily wanted a new bag specifically for my very special upcoming overnight trip to the hospital when we deliver Baby E!
Miss Anything? Tasty cheese!! I've avoided the soft cheeses just in case they aren't pasteurized. I can't wait to have feta, brie and the white queso cheese dip at mexican restaurants again!!
Food cravings: Baby E loves bananas lately! And the usual citrus, acidic treats too.
Anything making you queasy or sick: Nothing that comes to mind.
Symptoms: A couple nights I've woken up with my leg or arm asleep. I think I sleep in the exact same position without moving around so the lack of circulation kicks in.
Belly Button? It's there and looks different!
Wedding ring on or off? So far so good - they're on!
Looking forward to: I love my job and I don't take for granted how lucky I am to work for such a great company. They are being very supportive of mine and Heather's pregnancies. Heather is my: coworker slash BFF's older sister (side note: BFF is also pregnant due this fall!) slash extended family member slash go-to friend to share pregnancy chatter. She is due July 15th with her first, also a boy! We "drank the same water" and I have really enjoyed exchanging daily pregnancy tales with her as we both explore pregnancy for our first time. Our work family is throwing a joint shower for us (and Ben & Dennis) tomorrow afternoon. We're really blessed and I know it'll be a special day!
